4th International Street Lighting & Smart Control Conference 2019

2 – 5 April 2019 International Convention Centre Sydney

An award-winning street lighting conference featuring the latest in LED lighting and smart controls

The 4th International Street Lighting + Smart Controls conference is  a world class event featuring nineteen top international speakers showcasing some of the largest and most innovative LED and smart controls upgrades in the world (Georgia Power – USA, Singapore, Doncaster – UK, Helsinki – Finland and Chicago – USA) and in our region (Southern Lights NSW Project, Dunedin City Council and Moreton Bay Regional Council).

Vivid Technology’s Adam Carey has been invited as one of the top international speakers to share his insights on public lighting standards.

VIVID TECHNOLOGY’S ADAM CAREY PRESENTS – PUBLIC LIGHTING STANDARDS: THE NEED FOR OVERHAUL

Adam Carey has a breadth of Australian experience with Local Governments that he will draw on to explore and challenge current public lighting design standards to assess if they are fit for purpose.

Lighting design in the age of adaptive digital lighting technology can no longer be a one-size-fits-all templated approach. Adam will cover the new possibilities and how standards are required to accommodate both new technologies and new expectations to provide public lighting that improves liveability in cities, towns and rural areas.

Public lighting is undergoing revolutionary changes so Adam’s presentation will cover topics such as adaptive lighting, colour optimisation, monitoring and measurement of lighting performance in the field and assess their their role in advanced “as-a-service” business models.  He will also address the unintended consequences of public lighting and the astronomical, human and ecological outcomes.
